Balancing Business and Baby: My Journey as a Wedding Content Creator Mom-to-Be
This year has been a whirlwind, and it’s only fitting that the most exciting chapter of my life coincides with some of the most incredible moments in my business. As a wedding content creator, I’ve spent my days capturing love stories, preserving raw emotions, and celebrating milestones for so many amazing couples. Now, I’m preparing for my own monumental milestone: becoming a mom.
Juggling the Roles
When I first found out I was pregnant, I wondered how I would manage running a business and preparing for motherhood. Let’s be honest: both require an endless amount of energy, patience, and heart. But as the months have passed, I’ve realized there are so many parallels between these two roles. Just like weddings, pregnancy is filled with anticipation, joy, and a healthy dose of chaos.
Navigating this journey has taught me to give myself grace. Some days I’m editing reels or brainstorming creative content, and other days I’m curled up on the couch, battling morning sickness and dreaming about baby names. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s real—and that’s something I’ve always strived to bring into my work.
Why This Journey Makes Me a Better Creator
Being pregnant has given me a whole new perspective on the fleeting beauty of life’s big moments. When I film a bride’s first look or a couple’s joyful dance floor moment, I can’t help but think of the memories I want to create and capture for my own growing family. It’s deepened my understanding of why we treasure these snippets of time and why it’s so important to document them with care.
Looking Ahead
While my body grows to accommodate this little life, so does my vision for the future of my business. I’m so grateful for every couple who has trusted me to capture their wedding day, and I’m just as excited to see how motherhood will shape my creativity. I’ve learned that you don’t have to choose between two dreams—you just have to learn how to embrace the ebb and flow of each.
